Honeymoon Part 1

Jennie and I had a blast on our honeymoon on Vancouver Island, BC. The specific area we were near was called Craigs Bay which is located on the East Coast of the Island. We flew into Vancouver International Airport, rented a car and drove down to the ferry dock in Richmond, BC. The Ferries were interesting with each having its own personality (some where newer than others). They could hold a lot of cars and semi's and included two decks. I believe they are the largest ferries in the world. It took about two hours to get from the mainland to the island but the crossing was gorgeous as you can see below.

This is the shot from our plane window at Reagan International Airport (DCA) before we started taxing. Not bad huh? If you look closely you can see distortion (heat) from the engines of another plane beside ours.

Me enjoying the beautiful drive from Vancouver to the docks. Loved the rental too (Nissan Sentra).

Somehow we got one of the first positions on the ferry so our view was beautiful and the best on the boat. It was neat because you can stay in your cars for the whole trip if you wanted.

I was just grilling some meat.

The view from our room.

Jennie took this picture from what would have been the bay if it weren't out so far.

You can see where the water should be. It apparently comes back in, in just a few hours.

I'm standing on what is a little island when the tide is back in. Jennie would be submerged.

It was interesting because there were tons of crabs, huge clams and sand dollars littering the bay.

Just a taste

Just a taste of what we saw on Vancouver Island, BC Canada. It was really that gorgeous. I'll post more soon.
