January ... February?

Sorry I haven't added part 2 of the wedding pictures folks. I have to say that part of the blame falls on my laziness (and Bloggers inability to post when I actually wanted to add content) and part on being overworked. You see, I was lazy and didn't put them up and now that the fourth quarter of the year is in full swing I am working 12 hour days, 6 days a week just to get something accomplished at work. Therefore, now, I really don't have the time to post anything. Pray for us because this is not only very hard on my body, mind and spirit but on Jennie and the rest of my family as well. Please pray that God grants me at least the time to worship Him on Sundays with my wife. I love and miss you all.

Honeymoon Part 1

Jennie and I had a blast on our honeymoon on Vancouver Island, BC. The specific area we were near was called Craigs Bay which is located on the East Coast of the Island. We flew into Vancouver International Airport, rented a car and drove down to the ferry dock in Richmond, BC. The Ferries were interesting with each having its own personality (some where newer than others). They could hold a lot of cars and semi's and included two decks. I believe they are the largest ferries in the world. It took about two hours to get from the mainland to the island but the crossing was gorgeous as you can see below.

This is the shot from our plane window at Reagan International Airport (DCA) before we started taxing. Not bad huh? If you look closely you can see distortion (heat) from the engines of another plane beside ours.

Me enjoying the beautiful drive from Vancouver to the docks. Loved the rental too (Nissan Sentra).

Somehow we got one of the first positions on the ferry so our view was beautiful and the best on the boat. It was neat because you can stay in your cars for the whole trip if you wanted.

I was just grilling some meat.

The view from our room.

Jennie took this picture from what would have been the bay if it weren't out so far.

You can see where the water should be. It apparently comes back in, in just a few hours.

I'm standing on what is a little island when the tide is back in. Jennie would be submerged.

It was interesting because there were tons of crabs, huge clams and sand dollars littering the bay.

Just a taste

Just a taste of what we saw on Vancouver Island, BC Canada. It was really that gorgeous. I'll post more soon.

And Here She Is

Lydia Jane Blankenship

My second niece (from sister). Only a week old at the taking of these pictures. She slept a lot. In fact, she was only awake when she got hungry.

First visit to Great Grandma's.

Kirk (brother-in-law), Great Grandma Burgess, Lydia (in lap of course), Grandma Blankenship, Kenny (on lap), Shelly (sister), Naomi (on lap).

My Desktop

My DesktopFor those of you who wonder what my desktops look like (and yes, it really is that dim). I'm not bored actually. I've been insanely busy as of late and finally have the chance to enjoy the evening; Praise God for that!

Jennie and have applied at an apartment in town and the assistant manager, who has been helping me with the paperwork, thinks we'll have no problem getting in. I'm not as optimistic but you never know what God has in store. I have also been attending four Bible studies which are very good and, for the past two weeks, I have been teaching one of them. On top of that work and getting things on the wedding checklist done is exhausting me.

BUT, today I have finally have more energy (thanks to sleeping in an hour late ... oops) and have been taking more control over my job at work. I decided to tell my boss what roles my team members (employees) have and what roles I will have. I was sick and tired of being in this foggy place where I didn't really know what my role was. The funny is, it took an irrational district manager to get me to see where I need to be. So today I had the best workday I've had in a long, long time. I actually enjoyed it again = ) Praise your name on high Oh God!

United States National Christmas Tree 2005

During Christmas we went to D.C. with Jennie's mom, dad and grandmother to see the National Christmas tree.

Sorry, that's the best shot I got.

Pretty ugly huh? Maybe they can try for more lights next year.

This is part of the train set that went around the tree.

This one is for Mac. ; )

Sorry these two didn't turn out that well.

Sight & Sound Theatre

These are a few photos from the Sight & Sound Theatre in Lancaster, Pennsylvania (Amish Country). The play was amazing, I recommend it to anyone, the country was beautiful and the food (natural) was much better than the processed garbage we normally eat in the U.S. Can't wait to go back in April ... I just wish Jennie could come = (

After seeing how many good pictures (not counting the bad ones) I actually took, I'm amazed I took that many because my hands were more than numb by the time I finished. It ... was ... frigid!

Just a few random pictures from here and there that I've never posted ... mostly because the last quarter of the year was insanely busy for me (work and personal life). In fact, I have a lot of pictures I need to put up soon and because I've been requested to do so I suppose I shall.

The first two are from the Baltimore Aquarium where Jennie and I met my Uncle Randy, Aunt Jan, cousins Allie, Amy and Jake.

The next few are from The Fredericksburg Country Club where Jennie and I are having our wedding reception.

This little bird flew into our front storm door (right after it was cleaned ironically). It was pretty dazed so I got a couple of good shots. This is the best.

Jennie and good friend Kelsey

Very content after eating at Santa Fe Cattle Co. We love their Jack Daniels Steak.
