Filthy Stinking Rich. Literally.

Tysons II

Breath in and smell the materialism

and again

Ahhh the Ritz-Carlton

Plain yet elegant

So ritzy they don't have wallpaper or paint on most of the walls, they use fabric

A bad picture of the hotel exit to the mall

Who needs pennies when we can afford a $40 leather bound journal with blank paper?

As soon as I saw this store I new I needed to capture it on film for my good friend, Kris, who loves Lacoste, or at least use to. Anyway, I was directly outside the store when I decided to snap a photo (not this one) of the Lacoste logo, an open mouthed alligator. As soon as I snapped the picture a man, who had been walking to me, proclaimed, "Sir. Sir. SIR! You can't take pictures of the store." I looked at him and said, "Oh ... sorry" and left it at that. He blankly looked at me most likely expecting me to have said something nasty back. After he realized that is all I was going to say he uttered, "Uhhh, it's store policy, sorry" (as if I needed to be told that). I then looked down to see if I got the picture and it turned out better than I could have imagined. I smiled, apologized again and then walked away with a huge sense of satisfaction.

The "forbidden picture."

The national Cathedral taken from a parking lot across the street from Tysons Corner.
